Chattanooga Architecture Photography

I have dabbled into commercial photography, it is true. Since my artwork is not without direction, neither will my commercial photographs.

I don't photography puppies, your kids, flowers, barns, parties, fashion, weddings or any other that other wildly popular greeting card material. I specialize in architecture.

There is more life in a structure than any of the aforementioned. It's content is deep, not shallow like the 100,000th picture of Coolidge park, a wedding, or some foggy black and white train tracks.

A good architectural photograph allows the structure to speak to YOU, not simply document what it looks like. It's lines, space, light, and volume must be carefully joined together to capture the essence and the emotion of that one particular space so that it may be easily used as a communication tool.

TVA Kingston, TN

Tammy + I visited Kingston, TN to visit the recent fly ash spill - many months after it occurred, not to focus on the devastation of the fly ash spill but the area immediately around the TVA coal plant. There is some heinous devastation indeed which I didn't photograph because focusing on ugliness never seems productive. The following images are between 1 mile from and directly in the fly ash damage:
